Darius Rucker Kansas City Concert reviews
Great concert, venue staff needs better management
Recently, MGM National Harbor has become my preferred venue for concerts. However, that preference might soon shift. A few of us purchased the Meet and Greet package to meet Darius Rucker. The Meet and Greet was scheduled to happen at the rear left door of the hall, a detail emphasized by the band's team when we collected our passes. The meeting was meant to commence towards the end of the opening band's set. Following the specified location, we were redirected by local staff to a nonsensical spot (the lobby). After resolving the confusion, we discovered a long line at the correct spot where we had initially gone, where we would have been first in line. Unfortunately, due to this mix-up, I missed a significant portion of the second act. I adhered to instructions and yet suffered the consequences of the staff's obliviousness. The staff members are all professional and courteous. I attribute the lack of communication and execution to the management. It might be time for a change, as this is the second occurrence of such mishaps at this venue for me. In both instances, I would have been better off if I had disregarded the staff's guidance.
